Welcome to the Agricultural Engineering Department
Advancing agricultural productivity through innovative engineering solutions, modern technology, and sustainable farm mechanization.
Department Overview
The Department of Agricultural Engineering run Bachelor of Technology (2-
Year Top-up & 4-Year Degree) and Higher National Diploma programmes
in Agricultural Engineering. The Department was established in 2005 to
train middle level Agricultural Engineers in the Upper East Region where the
main economic activities are farming and its associated activities. As part of
government programme to revolutionize the training of middle-level manpower to
meet the needs of the country, a new competency-based learning programme in
Agricultural Engineering was also introduced in the 2006/2007 Academic Year
